Just have a try!QV software sent word to let us know that Aion: The Tower of Eternity is coming to Australia in September this year - except it will just be called Aion. The extremely popular Korean MMO is reportedly out-selling World of Warcraft three-to-one in Asia - though it's not so surprising when you consider that Blizzard isn't allowed to release Wrath of the Lich King in China. Still, the game has to be doing something right to have hit the 3.5 million subscriptions mark before branching out into the rest of the world - we'll be interested to see how it fares over here. Flight adds a new dynamic to the game and proves to be a strategic and integral part of the Aion experience. Gamers can take to the skies early on and take part in combat, quests, exploration and harvesting.Flight based combat sounds like an interesting idea - we're interested to see how they carry it off.

The world is split into two halves with a collection of shards and ‘islands’ between them. There are three factions in the game, but adding a twist to the normal faction based games out there, one of them is entirely NPC controlled. The two player controlled factions are the Elyos and the Asmodian. The Elyos (the light) live on the bottom half of the world, where the sun still shines and everything is still bright and pretty. The Asmodian (the dark) live on the top half of the world, where the only light they receive comes reflected from the Elyos world below, giving everything an ominous glow to an otherwise dark world. The third faction is the Balaur, the ancient enemy of all the people of Atreia, whose constant war is what led to the cataclysm that split the world apart. Between the two halves of the world lies the Abyss, the game’s primary PvP area.
